No time For Blogging (part 2)

October 26, 2012

While I have gotten the internet problem solved and I am once again connected to the rest of the world,  I am still speechless.  A visit to the doctor, and several different prescriptions have not yet given me my voice back.   This also means that I am unable to go visit mom, since I do not know what kind of germs I would be spreading to others, as well as what I could possibly pick up myself.  And the Good Lord knows I don’t need anything else added to the mix!

As for the house issue, we are scheduled to close on Monday!!!

We should finally get a payoff figure from the bank’s attorneys today.  When selling a home as a short sale, foreclosure, or settlement case, the banks and their attorneys are in no hurry to return phone calls, or answer emails.  We went to court a month ago, and still are waiting for the payoff.

The next hurdle that we have to get over this weekend is all of the little nit-picky issues from the city inspection taken care of so that the buyers can obtain their occupancy permit.  I can truly understand having to paint and clean the carpets, new smoke alarms and attach a small kitchen cabinet and baseboard to the wall, that were never installed properly.  But, to have to paint a wooden shed in the back yard?  Seriously, what does that have to do with the safety of occupying the home?  It rained last night, more rain scheduled today.  Supposed to be nice on Saturday, but will the wood be dry enough to paint?  I will be out there with fans and hair dryers and extension cords if necessary!!  Remember I can barely get out of bed, and can’t speak a word, but when you are POA and have had this house issue on your back for months……..well, a girls gotta do what a girls gotta do!!!

The inspection is scheduled  for 11:30 Monday morning and closing  at 1:00 in the afternoon.  Prayers that all goes well and this chapter is over will be greatly appreciated!!    It really is time to move on.

As in part 1 of this blog I am living with blind Faith that God will get me through this chapter, just like he always does!
