Blogging Can Be Dangerous

November 9, 2012

Statistics show that talking and texting on a cell phone while driving is dangerous.  Well so is Blogging!  No I do not mean literally “blogging” while driving, but mentally.  After today’s visit with my very independent mother, (see previous blog). I was blogging in my head, while driving home. I was anxious to share the story with family and friends.  I could “see” the page, I was deleting and cutting and pasting, editing. Not that I was nearly in any accident or anything, but realizing I was at a certain stop light, and not remembering the actual getting there.   I was concentrating on the words I knew I wanted to use, and typing them in my brain so that I wouldn’t forget them before I got home.  Maybe I should get a tape recorder to keep with me, so I can at least talk it out, instead of, “Blogging as I go.”

  1. The hazards of being a writer. 🙂 Done it all my life.

  2. Then I guess that means that I am officially “in” now! Another thing I’m sure you can relate to, is that writers must not sleep much! Whether it is staying up just a little bit longer than usual, getting up earlier than necessary, or getting up at 2 am. for a couple of hours of writing, because the brain just will not be quiet! An update to your November challenge….I am at 85 pages, 23,420 words, I can honestly say that I see an end in sight. Getting very excited! Thank you, my very dear friend!
